Loads of text adventure games designed by students from the university of michigan, some of which are harry potter related.
Enjoy.

Will these games also work on a Windows or dos machine?

Post 11 by chikorita (move over school!) on Friday, 28-Dec-2007 13:17:21

yeah you need an interpretter, which you can get from your local ifarchive/infocom/interpretters/ directory. i recommend frotz, but... i could also send you these files if you want; anyone interested please send me a private message, thanks!

Is the site mentiooned in post two just for braille notes only?

Post 13 by BrailleNote Nut (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Tuesday, 01-Jan-2008 15:35:01

No the games will work on anything, but braillenotestuff yeah that's obviously for braille notes. the other site though, i think is for z5 machine thingy.

I really wish i could get it working with the braille+ though, anyone who has any experience edoing any of this installation stuff with the braille+, PM me... Cuz I dont know how the hell to install that jzip thing, nothing i do works...

Damn it!

Are thereany Star trek games for the braille note?

Post 15 by chikorita (move over school!) on Tuesday, 01-Jan-2008 16:04:10

well depends on what you want. if you mean really old versions ported from basic, yeah. most of is is numbers in single key mode so you will need to switch the grade in keyboard settings to 0, and make sure your using usa braile. but i can't figure out how to navigate with it.

Hi all,
Are there any games that are similar to Alter Aeon that you can play on the BrailleNote? I love Alter Aeon--and I would love it and play it even more if it can work with the BrailleNote.
Thanks.

I've been on the braillenotestuff website, and found some cool games on there, but there was a car racing game, which I can't understand how it would be played on a Braille Note. Any help would be appreciated.

Welll, you would press the up and down arrow, which don't exist of course... haha! Not all of the games in that archive work with the bn.

I suppose it would work if you were using a VoiceNote or whatever they're called, the ones with the regular computer keyboard.

No, the keysoft interface would take them as moving up and down the text.
sorry.

I also play text adventure games. My favorite was curses. I would go to ifarchive.org, get them, put them onto my jump drive, then transfer them over to the braille note to play them.
